P3RFORM are without a doubt one of our best partners we could ever collaborate with. The quality work they deliver is outstanding and we couldn’t be prouder that our talented athletes learn and progress under their guidance. P3RFORM is a digital platform delivering elite-level performance solutions. Their multidisciplinary in-house specialists cover the full range of support an athlete, team or any performance driven human being could need. This support is based on their scientific-led framework developed to engage the 3 pillars of best practice: movement (strength, power and conditioning), lifestyle (nutrition, recovery and sleep) and mindset. It also provides testing equipment and advice regarding that rehabilitation process or even pre-season testing. They further deliver educational courses and workshops to institutions such as schools, universities or private academies. Question arising now is, how do our international football athletes benefit from that online support?

The process begins with the P3RFORM practitioner sitting down on a call with the athlete and having a lengthy conversation in order to understand the person behind the athlete; their goals and ambitions, plan a pathway to achieve those, strengths to which rely on or weaknesses to develop both in and out of the specific sport. They also get informed on previous injury history thus creating a more accurate profile on the player. Setting goals is the following step; whether these are short-term or longer term objectives, athletes receive a comprehensive gym exercise program designed to maintain, progress or alter certain variables which will improve their performance on the pitch.

The P3RFORM coach then monitors their weekly schedule through the app and this is where the magic happens: through a dynamic training schedule and a direct feedback process. Although training is scheduled around the athlete’s daily responsibilities things can change spontaneously thus needing the finest adjustments such as: load management due to an extra pitch session, postponing a session due to a group meeting at university or even lifting extra weight than advised. Our athletes have an in-app comment section to inform the coach about any changes needed as well as direct chat space.

There are regular online meetings to assess whether the program is effective, serving also as an opportunity for further support in other areas which could affect performance such as nutrition, potential conflict with studies/work/leisure responsibilities or simply coordinating if there is scheduled a double session in order to avoid fatigue carry-over. P3RFORM operates under the principle of autonomy; the freedom to push oneself or rather encouraged to deviate from the plan offering a safety net. They take charge if an injury is sustained, adapting the program to a rehab plan or designing return to play exercises or simply adjusting the load taking into account possible illness or exam period.

Furthermore, each prescribed exercise has a video instruction portraying exactly how it is meant to be performed as well as step by step explanation with tips to understand clearly the movement required. The user-friendly app offers the option to immediately record what was achieved thus allowing P3RFORM to monitor load and if needed adjust potential overtraining or undertraining possibilities. Should the athlete be a novice, they also help maintain a consistent training schedule with in-app incentives and motivational advice.

P3RFORM also specialize in sport science testing; planning detailed exercise tests with cutting-edge technology dedicated to preparing athletes for pre-season by equipping them with baseline parameters with which to work on. Our international football athletes enjoyed this opportunity last term whereby travelling to the UK were met by the amazing staff member Mitch who delivered several performance tests as well as providing them with an athlete’s profile.

The coordination with P3RFORM and NYSA on the ground is paramount as we provide our athletes with further support in load management monitored through GPS analysis (both NYSA sessions and training at each athlete’s club) or via extra recovery measures (such as yoga or mobility sessions). Last but not least, P3RFORM regularly adds value to the players’ nutritional support, in the form of targeted seminars and small projects.
