Balancing Dual Career
At NYSA, we know athletes are also students, workers, and individuals. Balancing football with academics or other commitments can be challenging, so our Dual Career Balance system helps keep everything in check.
- We track key factors like training, workload, sleep, travel, and stress.
- Depending on the season, either sport or academics can take priority with flexible support.
- If signs of fatigue, injury, or stress appear, we step in quickly with the right interventions.

Balancing competitive football with academics is challenging. Our mentoring program, led by dual-career mentor Chris Mingay and Athlete Coordinator Ben Tew, supports athletes in managing demands, building confidence, and achieving their full potential.
